British boxing is booming at the moment, our world champion tally count even if there are a plethora of belts around, is pretty impressive.
One boxer coming through the ranks and possibly heading towards a world title fight is Anthony Yarde.
The 25-year-old London light-heavyweight has made an impressive start to his career record.
Last night, at the Copper Box Arena, in East London, Yarde was looking to win the WBO European lightweight title.
Matched against Richard Baranyi, Yarde didn?t take long to bring the fight to a conclusive ending.
With the fight still in the first round and with a minute to go until the end of the round, Yarde caught Baranyi with a peach of a punch that dropped him to the canvas, to force a stoppage.
The win takes Yarde?s record to 11-0 and also takes him a step further up the ladder when it comes to reaching the top in his chosen sport.
Anthony Yarde, definitely a name to remember.
