Having captured the British light-welterweight title, in February, in a thrilling encounter, Curtis Woodhouse promptly announced his retirement.

It appeared that having achieved his long term ambition, whilst also reportedly skinning the bookmakers for a cool £250,000, Woodhouse was happy with his lot and announced his retirement in the ring.

Well it appears that the ex-professional footballer has had a change of heart and has announced on his Twitter account,

‘Just to let you all know, I’ve decided that I’m going to carry on fighting – still got the fire and the hunger so it’s not time to go.?

With 22 wins from 28 fights, it remains to be seen what the future has in store for the warrior who gave it everything to become the British champion.
