It doesn?t make sense.
Whilst Tyson Fury waits for Wladimir Klitschko to get his voluntary defence of his WBO version of the world title sorted, before the two heavyweights hopefully collide early next summer, there is talk of a far from plausible opponent for Wladimir.
Although it would appear that Wladimir will go up against the rated Bryant Jennings, who has a record of 19-0 with 10 by way of knockout, there is the suggestion that if the fight falls through then the Klitschko camp may well turn to a fighter who has made it his own personal business to rile the Ukrainian in recent weeks ? one Shannon Briggs.
Briggs, now 43 years of age, has a record that reads 57-6-1 with 50 wins by way of knockout but, in recent times, has hardly fought anyone worthy of a mention.
Let?s hope its Jennings that signs on the dotted line, otherwise the heavyweight division is heading towards another farce.
Wladimir! Please No!
