I?ve often pondered whether boxing in the shadow of his father has either benefitted or hindered the career of Chris Eubank Jnr.

Some might say that Chris Eubank Snr has the knowledge of what can be a daunting sport to guide his son towards the greatness he believes he is bound for.

But others might say, as borne out by several stories in the media, Team Eubank are very difficult to negotiate with, something possibly proven by the fact it is Kell Brook stepping into the ring with Gennady Golovkin as opposed to Chris Eubank Jnr next weekend.

Therefore, with it being announced that the WBA president Gilberto Mendoza is looking to set up a mini-tournament to produce an eventual opponent for the current WBA middleweight title holder, Gennady Golovkin, I wouldn?t harbour much hope that although the presence of Eubank Jnr is requested whether the negotiations will prove fruitful.

I could be wrong but what are your thoughts on the above subject matter?
