According to Eddie Hearn, Carl Froch?s next fight will be at the O2Arena in London on 31st January 2015.
As of yet there is no clear-cut opponent for the IBF / WBA super-middleweight champion, although plans of a fight in Las Vegas seem to be fast diminishing.
Froch, now 37, though could be set for a third fight with Mikkel Kessler with Hearn remarking;
?Mikkel Kessler is definitely one of the options with it being 1-1 and I?m talking to his promoter all the time?
However, the 31st January fight could see Froch forced to take the mandatory defence against the IBF #1 challenger James DeGale with Hearn further adding,
?The O2 Arena is penciled in for January 31 and it might be Froch-Kessler III or it might be Froch-DeGale but I?m not sure.?
With regards to my preference, I?d opt for the DeGale option, I?m not sure that the fighting public would swallow a third clash with Kessler especially with the prospect of another domestic tear-up, this time with DeGale in the opposite corner.
What are your thoughts?
Will it be Kessler or DeGale?
