With Anthony Joshua set to defend his WBA and IBF world titles against Carlos Takem, in Cardiff, this weekend, the WBC champion, Deontay Wilder has insisted he wants to fight Joshua.

Wilder, who is preparing for a defence of his WBC crown, against the capable Bermane Stiverne, on 4 November, has spoken to the media bout wanting to face Joshua, describing it as his <?ultimate goal?, before further remarking,

‘He has already fought a guy that got way more experience than I.

‘The ultimate goal is to get Joshua.

‘I don’t see what’s the difference between me and any other guy.’

The other guy, of course, being Wladimir Klitschko.

Continuing, Wilder further airs his apparent frustrations by further adding,

‘I don’t understand this sport when it comes to me.

‘I just want to prove to the world I am the best. That’s all I want to do.’

Indeed, that?s what the watching world wants to see, but, boxing politics allied with cash will always prevent such fights being secured easily.

We can but wait and see.
