Sat ringside on Saturday night, at Wembley Stadium, was a very interested heavyweight fighter.

The WBC heavyweight champion of the world, Deontay Wilder, had journeyed across the Atlantic to view the unification fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.

Wilder, also used as a pundit by Sky Sports, gave an excellent insight into the fight and was a welcome addition to the team.

But with Anthony Joshua now installed as the IBF, WBA and IBO world heavyweight champion, Wilder wants to be part of the circus that would see someone emerge as the truly undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, something we?ve not had since the days of Lennox Lewis.

Talking about the prospect, Wilder remarked to the media,

‘My plans are to get the WBO belt and once I get that, if I’m given a mandatory challenger, get that out of the way and set up a mega fight early in 2018.?

The mega-fight being against Joshua, quite probably in Las Vegas late this year or early.

But, of course, such talk wouldn?t be viable without the obligatory tweet with Wilder?s reading as thus,

?Everything is going as planned. I see you @Anthongfjoshua..Don?t get too comfortable. #I?m coming For You #BombZquad #Unify2017 #WilderJoshua?

If the plans come together, it would be a huge fight, two big punchers coming face-to-face on one of the most famous stages of all.

Bring it on.
