On the undercard of the IBF welterweight fight between Shawn Porter and Kell Brook tonight, Deontay Wilder makes his 32nd appearance in the professional ring.
Wilder, waiting for his turn at a world-title fight, has won his previous 31 fights all by knockout.
The American is expected to register win #32 tonight and has remarked about how he expects to lock-horns with another unbeaten heavyweight prospect next year, our very own Tyson Fury who has won all 22 of his fights.
The pair have, previously; baited each other and ahead of his bout tonight, Wilder has remarked,
?I think you know the guy I want to fight [Tyson Fury.]?
?I don?t think we even need a promoter for this fight. Everybody wants to see this fight. We don?t even need to sell this fight. All that needs to happen is a date and a time and a location. I think definitely next year that?s going to happen.?
It would be one hell of a fight, but is it going to happen whilst both men stand on the precipice of world title fights?
Or is it something that will happen once one of them grasps one of those elusive belts?
Your views would be most appreciated.
