This weekend should have been a weekend whereby we all sat back and waited for the outcome of the hugely anticipated re-match between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko.
But an ankle injury has forced the cancellation of the blockbuster bout at the Manchester Arena.
Instead, when it comes to heavyweight boxing we?re left to wait another week for a mega-heavyweight contest when , at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, the WBC champion Deontay Wilder steps into the ring.
Wilder, with a record that reads 36-0 with 35 of those wins coming by way of the big KO, will be taking on the vastly experienced #9 contender Chris Arreola, who has a record that reads 36-4-1 with 31 of those wins coming inside the distance.
The Bronze Bomber, Wilder, will be making the fourth defence of his crown and many feel this is his most difficult fight of his career. Arreola will come at Wilder from the first bell and we could be about to find out if the American really is the real deal or whether his opponents have been hand-picked to suit his gunslinger style!
