With his record standing at 30-0, all by way of knockout, Deontay Wilder is marching on to superstardom.

The current plan for the American heavyweight is said to be to wait for a WBC showdown against Bermane Stiverne, providing the current champion Vitali Klitschko either vacates the title or is stripped due to inactivity.

But, if that plan doesn?t come to fruition Wilder has now expressed a desire to take on the ageing but respected American, Tony Thompson.

Keen to remain active whilst he waits for his chance, a meeting with Thompson would be an attractive fight, especially for British fight fans who recall Thompson knocking out David Price not once, but twice.
