As I?ve said many a time before, I?m yearning for the day Deontay Wilder claims a major version of a heavyweight world title.

I?ve realized that the sport needs an American to rule the roost at that weight again.

However, whilst I may have to wait a few months for that to happen, I?ve always thought that when, not if, Deontay reaches the top of his profession he will remain an active fighter.

Well that appears to be the view shared by the American who is already promising to rule the roost.

One of the first fighters he could be taking on is our own Tyson Fury with Wilder, defending a record of 30-0, all by knockout, tweeting,

?Tyson Fury, come my friend, I will make it worth your while. Besides, once I get this WBC belt, it?s game over for you all!?

Now obviously Fury has gotten under the skin of Wilder and it?ll be interesting if Wilder, once he becomes champ, will even entertain the thought of taking on Fury if David Haye has already put a huge blemish in his record book!
