The heavyweight division is, at last, providing that spark that boxing needs.

With a host of young pretenders coming through, the scene is set for the possibility of a few grudge matches taking place.

Tonight the big-hitting Deontay Wilder will be looking to extend his very impressive record whereby he has had 30 wins from fights, all coming by way of knockout.

His opponent tonight, in what is termed as a WBC final eliminator is Malik Scott someone British fight fans are familiar with, with Scott being someone who Dereck Chisora recently beat.

However, you get the feeling that Wilder is looking beyond Scott and has his eyes focussed on Tyson Fury, with the American saying some very uncomplimentary things about the Brit, remarking to the media ahead of his fight tonight,

?Fury?s a sorry excuse for a heavyweight, all he wants to do is talk.?

People want to see action but they?re going to assume you?re just a clown.?

People are laughing at him.

Well that may well have lit the blue touch-paper!

However, before he signed off he also had a few brief words for Chisora, labelling the Brit,

?As for Chisora he?s a one-trick pony.?

Now what was it I was saying about grudge fights?

We await responses from Fury and Chisora!
