Having claimed the WBC heavyweight title last time out when he out-pointed Bermane Stiverne, I guess you can?t really blame Deontay Wilder if his camp chooses to select an easy, if there is such a thing, first defence.

The opponent selected for his first fight as the WBC heavyweight champion of the world is Eric Molina

The fight will headline a show in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 13th.

After blowing away all before him until he had to settle for a points win against Stiverne, we?re expecting the big-hitting Wilder to revert to his knockout ways by taking out Molina.

After all, the last time Molina stepped up a class he was taken out, in a round, by Chris Arreloa!

We suspect that now he is the heavyweight champion the US craved then his career will be handled very carefully as he?s guided towards possible unification bouts over the next eighteen to twenty-four months!
