With Tyson Fury taking the headlines in the heavyweight division last weekend, the US big-punching WBC champion has announced a possible return to the ring.
Deontay Wilder is expecting to climb back into the ring in June to make his first defence of the title he won by beating Bermane Silverne.
Wilder had hoped to tempt Tyson Fury into the ring but although a heated Twitter exchange saw plenty of unruly insults exchanged Fury is intent on holding out for his mandatory WBO challenge against Wladimir Klitschko.
No opponent has yet been mentioned for Wilder but the American knows that one or two successful defences will have the American public hanging on to his every words, such is the lure of being an American heavyweight champion of the world.
