Across the pond the much anticipated WBC heavyweight title clash between Bermane Stiverne and Deontay Wilder is a fight I?m hugely anticipating.
I?ve made no secret of the fact that I have this burning desire for the unbeaten Wilder, now with a record of 31-0 with 31 by way of knockout, to be the boxer that re-ignites the heavyweight division across the globe.
Wilder, as you are probably aware, has knocked out all thirty-one of his previous opponents with his devastating power. However, the challenger suspects that his chance to face Stiverne, who has a record of 24-1-1 with 21 by way of knockout, might be a little hesitant to face him.
The news we have is that Stiverne has a hand injury and might not be fit for their November clash, however Wilder has chided that Stiverne might need extra time to shed all the extra weight he?s carrying.
To that effect Wilder is contemplating a warm-up fight. Now I wonder if he could be tempted across to these shores to take on the winner of the Fury v Chisora clash!
