On the undercard of the Kell Brook v Shawn Porter world welterweight fight, the USA heavyweight hope, Deontay Wilder was in action.
Steadily awaiting his world title chance, Wilder had opted to keep active against Jason Gavern. All of Wilder?s previous 31 fights had ended with the heavyweight hope winning by way of knockout, whilst Gavern entered the ring with a record that read 25-16-4 with 11 by way of knockout.
The fight ended as predicted beforehand with Wilder extending his record to 32-0 all by way of knockout. Officially, the fight ended at the end of round four when Gavern was retired on his stool by his corner, but it always looked as if the fight would end in round five.
Wilder used his extreme power to punch Gavern to the canvas once in the 3rd round and twice more u the 4th round. Gavern knew what lie ahead and his corner probably took the sensible option to prevent their man getting further hurt.
Meanwhile, the huge-hitting Wilder waits patiently to land a world tile crown, you just know it is coming don?t you!
