Yesterday (Friday) saw the confirmation of Dillian Whyte?s next fight announced.

The Brixton fighter, who now has a record that reads 18-1 with 14 wins coming by way of knockout, will be appearing on the under-card of the forthcoming SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow show that sees Ricky Burns make his first defence of the WBA light-welterweight crown.

The date of the promotion is October 7th and Whyte will be taking on 34-year-old Ian Lewison for the vacant British heavyweight title.

Lewison will enter the ring with a record that reads 12-2-1 with 8 wins coming by way of knockout.

Since being beaten by Anthony Joshua, Whyte has had shoulder surgery and his critics are saying that the power he displayed before the surgery has yet to be shown.

Could this fight be the time for Whyte to gain the British title, demonstrate that his power is back and take a step towards a European heavyweight title fight?
