In Nebraska last night on the under-card of the light-welterweight unification fight, between Crawford and Indongo, Dillian Whyte made his US debut.

The Brixton heavyweight was matched against the thirty-nine-year-old American heavyweight, Malcolm Tann.

Whyte, 29-years-of-age, made an impressive US debut stopping Tann inside three rounds.

Tann, who was to be perfectly honest a little out of his depth, was dropped four times by Whyte who took his record to 21 wins and 1 defeat, that defeat coming back in 2015 when he was stopped by the reigning world champion Anthony Joshua.

There has been talk of Whyte sometime in the future, facing the WBC world title holder Deontay Wilder, one suspects he may have to take on a higher calibre of opponent before he gets granted that privilege.

But at least Whyte has made that initial breakthrough on US soil.
