On the under-card of the Joshua v Cornish Commonwealth heavyweight title fight, Dillian Whyte was looking to notch up another win to keep on track for a fight with Joshua in December.

As it turned out, Whyte facing Brian Minto, stopped his 40-year-old American opponent in three rounds.

However, they were far from three convincing rounds with Whyte often leaving himself wide open in pursuit of the big knockout blow.

After the fight Whyte, who was booed into the ring by the 02 Arena crowd, claimed he?d fought with a shoulder injury, remarking,

‘It wasn’t the cleanest display, but I did get the job done.

‘I was carrying a heavy shoulder injury. But I’ll show up in December, don’t worry about that, even if I am on one arm or one leg.

‘I know the Joshua fight is going to be a good, hard fight but I’m in the game to put on good fights, test myself and reward the fans.’

In beating Minto Whyte took his record to 16-0 with 13 of those wins coming by knockout.

But is he the man to really test Anthony Joshua on December 12th?

Let?s just say that in the heavyweight division, you are only ever one punch away from devastation!
