With a record of 14-0 with eleven of those wins coming via knockout, Dillian Whyte is starting to make waves in the professional game.

Whyte is, of course, also remembered as the heavyweight who, in his amateur days, stuck our other heavyweight hope, Anthony Joshua, on the seat of his pants.

Whyte?s progress has been such that he has now been promised a shot at the British heavyweight title, with that title currently being held by Tyson Fury.

Now it doesn?t take a brain surgeon to work out that Fury is unlikely to risk facing big-hitting Whyte when he is the mandatory WBO challenger to Wladimir Klitschko.

Here at Vital Boxing we fully expect Tyson to vacate the British title to chase his world title dream.

Which brings us around to question as to whether Anthony Joshua, who has previously spoken about fighting for a Lonsdale belt; would be prepared to face his old foe for the title.

We suspect not with Matchroom not being prepared to risk what is a cash-laden nugget heading to the top.
