On Saturday, when Frampton and Quigg meet in the ring with the IBF and WBA super-bantamweight titles at stake, a debate is raging as to who will have the most supporters there.

In what will be a volatile atmosphere there are some pundits who are trying to paint this as a Ireland v England fight, which is, as Frampton is quick to point out, far from being the truth.

Talking about the support that will fill the Manchester Arena, Frampton is quoted in the media as having remarked.

?They?re trying to make this out to be Ireland v England but it is simply my fans against Quigg?s.

?I have a lot more than him all over the UK and Ireland.

?I think it?s going to be around 75 per cent of the crowd cheering for me. Let?s see the reception he gets.?

Has Frampton gauged it right?

I guess we?ll only find out on Saturday evening when the fighters make their ring entrances.
