On Saturday evening, at the Braehead Arena, in Glasgow, Ricky Burns was sat ringside to watch Josh Taylor dismantle Ohara Davies inside seven rounds.

Burns, a three-weight former world title holder, hasn?t boxed since losing his WBA super-lightweight belt to Juluis Indongo at the SSE Hydro Arena, in Glasgow, back in April.

Who Burns will choose to take on his next fight remains to be seen.

Although Josh Taylor called him out on Saturday night, there has also been speculation that Burns could be fighting Anthony Crolla.

Indeed, Burns has revealed that he has been in talks with Crolla?s camp about a possible clash, in Manchester, later in the year.

But if Burns and Crolla are to meet, the weight issue would require sorting out, would Burns shed some weight to get down to lightweight or would Crolla move up to super-lightweight.

Talking from ringside, after the Taylor v Davies bout, Burns remarked to the media about his next fight,

‘There’s been a lot of talk about my next fight but nothing is set in stone. I know Barry has been calling me out. I’m sure if you put a serious offer out…’

So who is it going to be, Josh Taylor or Anthony Crolla, or will there be somebody else lined up?
We wait with baited breath!
