Across the pond tonight, in the early hours of Sunday morning UK time, there is a hugely intriguing welterweight clash.
The fight, at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York, sees the WBC champion Danny Garcia go head-to-head with the WBA champion Keith Thurman.
Both boxers have unbeaten records on the line in this unification bout, Garcia?s current professional record stands at 33-0 with 19 wins coming by way of the big knockout whilst Thurman has a record that reads 27-0 with 22 wins coming by way of stoppages.
At the weigh-in yesterday, Garcia tipped the scales at 146.5 pounds whilst Thurman was slightly heavier at 146.8 pounds.
The pundits are leaning towards Thurman beating Garcia but that may not be the outcome, here at Vital Boxing we reckon it could be a close fight that could spring a few surprises.
Who do you reckon will unify the WBC and WBA titles, Thurman or Garcia?
We?d be interested to read your thoughts on what could be an epic fight that can be viewed on Frank Warren?s Box Nation TV station.
