Having won the IBF World middleweight title, over in Atlantic City, speculation is already rife as to who Darren Barker will fight next.

Post fight, Darren didn?t want to discuss the situation simply stating,

?I know I have obligations but, right now, all I am thinking about is going home to see my little daughter.?

Obviously, being away from their children is a hardship all boxers have to put up with and we understand where Darren is coming from.

However, we understand that in signing up for the Geale fight, Darren knew he?d have to take on the mandatory challenger, who is Felix Sturn.

Sturn is a classy fighter who has previously held WBA and WBO versions of the middleweight title and will be a tough test.

We also believe that there might be a condition in the fight contract whereby Geale is entitled to a re-match, which will be another huge contest.

Clearly, although Darren did a remarkable job in becoming the IBF world middleweight champion, it looks like holding onto the cherished belt will be a harder task, but we?re sure Darren will be up to the task, even more so he?s been boosted by the fact he now has that world champion tag after his name.
