Strong rumours are doing the rounds that infer Wembley Stadium could be the venue for the Carl Froch v George Groves re-match.

It would appear that the grand stadium, scheduled to host an international fixture twenty-four hours before, involving England and Peru, would be hastily arranged to suit such a huge promotion.

The fight, fixed for 31st May, is scheduled to break all box-office records for British Boxing.

However, if the home of English football cannot be secured for the fight, thereby guaranteeing an attendance in the region of 80,000 then we understand that other venues, said to be Old Trafford and the Emirates Stadium are being considered.
