After a period of inactivity that has almost spanned a year, the World Boxing Association has stripped Nottingham?s Carl Froch of his super-middleweight belt.
Froch, who is currently injured, was looking to set up a mega-bout in Las Vegas against Julio Cesar Chavez Junior, something that was blown away by the recent defeat the Mexican suffered.
With the WBA promoting activity amongst their champions, many could see Froch losing his belt outside of the ring.
However, it seems the action may very well prompt the fighter to call time on his lucrative career with his promoter, Eddie Hearn, remarking,
?It?s no problem Carl?s been out of the ring nearly a year and there?s no guarantee that he?ll fight again.?
So is that the end of Carl Froch!
