The tickets for the huge fight at the O2 Arena, in London, for the 10th September clash between Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook, took all of twelve minutes to completely sell out.
I?d imagine Eddie Hearn and co might now be pondering over whether they should have gone for a bigger arena.
The fight certainly seems to have caught the publics? attention with both men unbeaten and Brook moving up two weights to fight someone who many reckon is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
However it transpires that one of Golovkin?s plethoras of belts will now not be up for grabs.
It seems that the World Boxing Association (WBA) have refused to sanction the fight with the reason being that Brook, they feel, doesn?t qualify as a contender with the Sheffield fighter never having fought at middleweight before.
But it appears the situation could change if Golovkin requests official permission from the WBA to put his title on the line against Brook.
WBA Belt will not be up for Grabs!
