I guess we may never know!

I?m not sure whether Carl Froch really intended to give George Groves another crack at his world title belts or whether the other options available weren?t anywhere as lucrative financially.

Talk of an American dream fight in Las Vegas or New York seems to have been put on the back burner, is it purely because of the IBF?s mandate that there would be a re-match inside 90 days? I guess we?ll never know.

However, now that the fight has been confirmed, the champion has wasted no time in giving out the right vibes, remarking to the press,

?I listened to the public and gave them what they wanted. I expect this to be one of the biggest fights the country has ever seen.’

‘It’s been a difficult period for me following the first fight. I’ve had to listen to his endless whining and appeals when ultimately the referee did him perhaps the biggest favour possible and saved him from a devastating knockout, whilst denying me the right of a clinical finish and a great comeback victory.?

‘I was poor in the first fight. I didn’t give him the respect as a fighter. I can’t wait to get back in there and do a proper job.’

We await the inevitable response from George Groves.

May 31st seems a long way off but, for me, it can?t come soon enough!
