Suddenly it appeared that the Eddie Hearn camp was acquiring more of the name fighters than Frank Warren.

Several fighters switched allegiances and, for many, it was a puzzling event.

One such fighter to switch camps was the former two-weight world champion Ricky Burns.

Burns left the Warren camp and ended up in the Hearn camp, something that has riled Warren who is now taking Burns through the court to recover what he believes to be a substantial amount of lost revenue.

Naturally, with the legal fight now in the High Court in London, there are arguments from both sides.

Warren believes that Burns was tapped up by Hearn whilst Burn counteracts that suggestion by intimating he left due to unpaid fight purses.

Speaking about the situation Warren has commented,

‘He got tapped up. That’s the bottom line.?

‘Behind the scenes he got tapped up by another promoter. That’s what this is all about and it’s very disappointing.’

Warren wants something in the region of £2 million recompense. Reading through the various aspects of various deals, it?s hard to say which way the outcome to this one will sway.

Discussions have suggested that there were joint agreements, time lapses and such making it all too legal for a simple man of the street like me.

However with the court case set to last another couple of days we?re pretty sure we?ll have an inkling of which way the outcome might go shortly.

We?ll endeavour to keep you informed.
