With the fight-scene starting to get back to a degree of normality, following the festive break, there is the suggestion that a very interesting fight is set to be announced.
Some elements of the media, are implying that Frank Warren, come Monday, is set to announce a huge domestic showdown.
The showdown would see the hugely talented and unbeaten British and Commonwealth super-welterweight champion Liam Williams is set to take on the former WBO light-middleweight champion Liam Smith.
Williams, who has had 17 professional fights, winning 16 and drawing the other, is tipped to be heading towards a world title and was, in 2016, voted the British Boxing Writer?s Young Fighter of the Year.
Smith, who is looking to get back in world title contention, put on a good performance before losing his title to the outstanding Mexican Saul Alvarez, back in September 2016.
If the fight is announced, who would you pick as the winner?
Would it be the 24-year-old Welshman or the more experienced 28-year-old from Liverpool?
