When the news broke that the fight we?d waited for between Fury and Chisora was off, courtesy of the hand injury picked up by Chisora, Frank Warren had it all to do save the credibility of his bill.
Whilst true boxing aficionados would have been content with Billie Joe Saunders topping the bill and also the rather attractive undercard, the size of the arena and the number of tickets sold makes it one of those nights when the audience wants something explosive and exciting to happen.
Getting Ustinov and Fury in the same ring has, in my opinion, seen the promotion more than saved and we now have a top-of-the-bill fight that is enticing to say the least.
Talking about the fight everybody is now interested in; Warren had this to say,
?Under the circumstances, Ustinov is a brilliant late replacement.?
?He?s fit and ready after training and sparring for two weeks with Chisora.?
?Fury?s been preparing for a shorter man in Chisora and he?ll have to adjust.?
?With two huge men throwing big punches, anything can happen.?
