There are, once again, mutterings from Tyson Fury that he?s on the comeback trail.

The former undefeated world heavyweight champion is talking about getting back into shape and working his way towards a mega heavyweight showdown with the IBF, WBA and IBO world champion, Anthony Joshua.

If Tyson Fury can get back in shape there may well be a right royal rumble sometime late in 2018 or early 2019, buy Tyson Fury will have to prove himself in the ring first.

One scenario being bandied about is a fight with the effervescent and always got something to say for himself, Shannon Briggs.

Briggs hasn?t fought for a year but seems keen to get back into the ring and take on Tyson Fury who, before his troubles, built up a professional record of 25-0 with 18 wins coming by way of knockout.

Taking to his Instagram account, Briggs has remarked,

?In talks with Frank Warren about giving me @gypsyking 101 a good ole [expletive] whippin. Frank seems to think I?m going to be a simple tune-up fight before a later fight with @anthonyjoshua I had to explain to the old geezer @frankwarren_official that he ain?t getting past me and that if he referred to me as a tune-up again I would punish @piesyonFury slow and ruin him.?

Bring it on is what we say, Shannon Briggs could give Tyson Fury a real test as we seek to establish if the former heavyweight champion still has what it takes to regain, one day, his crowns.
