Following the weigh-in, ahead of the big fight with Wladimir Klitschko, Tyson Fury was his normal buoyant self when interviewed by Sky Sports shortly after.
In fact the interview Tyson gave was TV gold and confirmed just how much of a showman the challenger is.
Tyson, with total belief in himself, remarked,
‘I have come here to do a demolition job on Klitschko.
‘It is strictly business and may the best man win, with no excuses.
‘I think the fight is going to pan out with me knocking him out in Germany, My own destiny is in my two hands. I’m a 4-1 underdog, but underdogs can win.
‘I never thought he would fight me, but he has proved me wrong and he deserves credit for that. But this is his hardest fight ever.’
But perhaps the best line Tyson came out with ahead of his date with destiny against the 39-year-old champion who has reigned supreme for a decade and who has accumulated the WBA, IBF and WBO belts was:-
‘If you asked 10 boxers to build their nightmare opponent, you’d end up with Tyson Fury.?
