There?s no doubting that the most colourful character in the heavyweight division is Tyson Fury.
The former champ, who was forced to vacate his bouts due to a medical problem of the mental variety, is somebody who isn?t afraid to say what he thinks and because of his win over Wladimir Klitschko, remains the ?real? champion in most people?s eyes.
Fury has been inactive since that memorable night in Germany but the indications are that the fighter who has a record that reads 25-0 with 18 wins coming by way of knockout is on the way back.
His trainer and uncle, Peter Fury, has commented to the media vehicle, 4c Sports Media
?As we speak now, he?s with his brother, he?s with his father and he?s training every day. He?s running, he?s training and he?s asking when I?m back in the gym. Expect Tyson back in the ring around April/May time next year ? he?ll be back. He?s coming back to not only get the belts, but to prove that he is the only heavyweight in the world. He?ll have a couple of fights ? two or three ? and he?ll be back fighting for the belts. I?d like to see Tyson fight Wilder. I think that?s a massive fight across the pond. I think that would turn into a super-fight. That?s a fight we want anyway.?
Tyson will, most probably, have a couple of warm-up fights before engaging in titanic encounters, but it will be great to see the big-man climb between the ropes again.
Let?s just hope that burning desire to become the champion of the world remains.
