Could we be set to see Amir Khan go head-to-head with Manny Pacquiao?

It seems that talks are on-going after a poll on Pacquiao?s Twitter account nominated the Bolton man as the fighter they?d most like to see the WBO world welterweight champion defend his belt against.
Khan took 48% of the votes cast beating Kell Brook, Terence Crawford and Jeff Horn.
Talking about the possibility of mixing it with his former Wild Cat Gym colleague, Amir has tweeted,
‘Currently negotiating with Manny #teampacquiao. Coming soon. Watch this space!’
Whilst the 38-year-old six-weight world champion has also tweeted,
?My team and I are in negotiations with Amir Khan for our next fight. Further announcement coming soon.’
