Tonight, two unbeaten light-welterweight fighters go head-to-head with the British and Commonwealth light-welterweight belts at stake.

The clash, featuring Frankie Gavin and Denton Vassell has the possibility of being one of the fights of the year.

The build up to the clash, which sees Gavin defending his 15 fight unbeaten record against Vassell defending a 20 fight unbeaten record, has been as civilized as one could expect, with no trash-talk being brought to the arena.

But, with the fight now fast approaching, the highly-rated Gavin has predicted that it?ll be him leaving the ring with his unbeaten record intact, remarking a the pre-fight press conference,

?One of us will leave the ring with our record intact. It won?t be Vassell.?

?People under-estimate my speed. We?re both undefeated but the bookies make me the favourite.?

?I want that extra title and my life is now all about winning. If I do what I can do, I won?t get beat.?

?I?m in as good shape as I?ve been.?

That?s good to hear Frankie, because my money is on you to hold onto the British belt and add the Commonwealth belt to your collection, possibly via a late stoppage.
