Now I?m all for promoters putting together attracting looking bills.
I?m also all for these promotions having a lengthy bill, but last night left a huge question being asked.
The top-of-the-ill fight, between Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora was a bout that was eagerly awaited by the huge crowd at the ExCel Arena, however it all felt something of an anti-climax.
By the time the two fights emerged it was well past midnight and by the time the fight entered the middle rounds the vast audience had dwindled dramatically with getting home the thought uppermost in their minds.
Attending a boxing show is an expensive affair; many do it on disposable income that is shrinking. Surely those who promote these shows need to get the main fight scheduled so that it take place at an hour sensible enough to suit the punters, or is that just wishful thinking?
