This weekend could well turn out to be a wonderful weekend for British boxing.
Come Sunday morning, we could very well have three new world champions with Anthony Crolla, Martin Murray and Lee Haskins all hoping to realise their dreams.
All three face enormous challenges with only Anthony Crolla having home advantage. Martin Murray goes up against Arthur Abraham in Hannover whilst Lee Haskins will be making his debut in the gambling hot-bed of Las Vegas.
Perhaps, out of the three, Haskins has the hardest task with the fighter from Bristol hoping to take the IBF bantamweight title off of Randy Caballero.
At thirty-two years of age, Haskins knows that this could be his only opportunity but he appears to have enjoyed the preparation and is raring to go with Haskins quoted as having remarked,
‘I have done a lot of fitness, a lot of cardio, a lot of weight-making and everything is on track. It’s been great to be out here training with a bit of sun beaming down on me.?
So, come Sunday morning, who out of the three do you believe will be waking up with a world title belt beside them, could it be Crolla, Murray, Haskins or even all three?
Three Golden Opportunities
