With a tricky looking defence against George Groves to navigate first, Carl Froch?s camp are already looking towards their next opponent.

Although Froch probably yearns for a re-match with Andre Ward, his promoter ? Eddie Hearn ? is talking about a mouth-watering contest against the current WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

Golovkin, as we all know, is a fearsome puncher with a record that reads 27 wins, 0 defeats and 24 wins by way of knockout.

But, Hearn is peddling the suggestion that Golovkin isn?t too keen on such a fight, remarking,

?I think Froch would fight Golovkin next. I don?t think Golovkin is overly keen. That?s what I?ve heard from various sources?I think it?s a wonderful fight. That?s going to be PPV in the U.S and the UK.?

But will the opportunity arise?

Could George Groves derail the Froch bandwagon?

Don?t write the under-dog off!

  • exactly, Frich hasn’t looked that good in his last two fights, could this be Groves’ moment?
