On 26th August, in Las Vegas, the match-up nobody who loves boxing really wants to see, will take place.

In Las Vegas, the legend that is Floyd Mayweather will go head-to-head with the UFC champion Conor McGregor, in a light middleweight boxing match.

It is a match-up that McGregor has been chasing for an age and one that is now set to happen.

Mayweather, who retired from boxing with a record that reads 49-0, will take on his younger opponent who has never boxed professionally but was granted a licence to box by the California State Athletic Commission in December.

Both men have been at the top of their respective sports and as an avid boxing fan I really can?t get my head around why somebody out there wants to organise this miss-match.

Perhaps it?s the fact that both fighters will receive something in the region of $100 million from the bout.

Money talks it would seem!

As for a winner, don?t look any further than Mayweather who will out-box McGregor and show him there is more to our sport than just rushing blindly in as McGregor surely will do.
