The rough-house tactics deployed by Marcos Maidana were always going to end in some kind of controversy.
Floyd Mayweather Junior reckoned that Maidana hit him with elbows, knees, fore-arms and just about everything else on Saturday night, but the champion wasn?t prepared to be bitten by the challenger.
Mayweather reckoned that Maidana bit his lower arm and left it feeling numb, now whether Maidana actually did so remains open to debate, even more so when Maidana himself remarked after the fight,

Which is a fair point, but if Maidana did use the illegal tactic of inflicting a bite then our own Amir Khan, who is hoping to step into the ring with Mayweather, had the following to say about the tactic,
?You take the ultimate punishment, 100 per cent. When you do silly things like that you shouldn?t be allowed in the boxing ring.?
?Our fists are our tools and we need them. It?s totally wrong.?
If proven, should Maidana be banned?
