With just eight professional fights under her belt, Ireland?s Katie Taylor has already graduated to become a world champion.
Taylor, who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, is set to fulfil her dream of defending her WBA lightweight world title in her home city of Dublin.
The fight set for 14th April, still falls into the category whereby we await further details when it comes to an opponent or a venue.
Taylor claimed her world title on the undercard of the Joshua v Takum promotion, in Cardiff when she beat Anahai Sanchez.
Whether Taylor can go on to unify the lightweight division remains to be seen.
The other versions of the lightweight belts are held by:
? Delfine Persoon (Belgium) ? WBC
? Victoria Noelia Bustos (Argentina) ? IBF
? Rose Volante (Brazil) ? WBO
Could any of those be lined up to face Taylor in Dublin, although Persoon is probably ruled out due to the fact she is scheduled to defend her title later this month.
