Staged or Real?

Today, ahead of their fight at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night, Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora held their last press conference.

Beforehand we knew the duo were never going to exchange pleasantries, the lack of mutual respect meant that verbal barbs would be the order of the day.

But nobody expected to see what did happen.

Whyte, with a record that reads 19-1 with 15 wins coming by knockout, obviously wound up his opponent, Chisora, who has a record that reads 26-6 with 18 wins coming by knockout, too much.

With the temperature rising Chisora suddenly grabbed the table in front of him and threw it in the general direction of Whyte.

For an instant it looked as if mayhem would ensue but Chisora was ushered away by his camp with Whyte still hurling profanities.

But was it all as it seemed?

The table that Chisora launched with gay abandon, didn?t look very sturdy, almost as if the whole stunt was planned to generate interest in what is being billed as a grudge fight..
