As the world of boxing heads towards one of its busier periods, we?ve news of some up and coming bouts involving British fighters on the cusp of achieving significant breakthroughs.

In a promotion at the O2 Arena in London, on October 11th, the Welsh fighter Lee Selby is set to take on the Australian fighter Joel Brunker in an IBF featherweight world title eliminator.

On 13th September, at the Manchester Arena, on a bill headed by Scott Quigg, the popular Manchester lightweight Anthony Crolla will be in action against an, as yet, unnamed opponent.

The British and Commonwealth featherweight champion Josh Warrington, described by his promoter, Eddie Hearn, as the Ricky Hatton of Leeds, will be headlining a show at the Leeds First Direct Arena, on 4th October, against an opponent yet to be named.

Matthew Macklin, a fighter who has challenged for world title honours and the latest signing to the Matchroom stable, will be headlining a show in Dublin, on 30th August, against an, as yet unnamed opponent.
