Two weeks today Liam Smith will be the other side of the pond taking on Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez.

Liam will be the 26-year-old fighters? second British bout on the bounce with Canelo having knocked out Amir Khan the last time out.

For Smith, who has a record that reads 23-0-1 with 13 of those wins coming by knockout, it is a chance to make a huge name of himself against an opponent who many believe is amongst the top five pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

Ahead of the fight, Smith remains hugely confident that he?ll upset the odds and beat Canelo that he?s openly suggesting that his next fight will be against the same opponent.

Talking to Frank Warren?s television station, Boxnation, Smith is quoted as having remarked,

?My mind is set on Canelo. When I beat Canelo, my next fight will be Canelo again.

?They will want the rematch. Me and Joe Gallagher have had a good camp. I know I can perform at this level. I?ve always been told I?ve got a style the Americans will like. What you see is what you get. I am coming to fight!?

Can Liam Smith do what Amir Khan couldn?t, can he really upset the apple-cart and beat Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez?

Your thoughts on the bout and its possible outcome would be greatly appreciated.
