At the Copper Box Arena, in East London, Bradley Skeete held on to his British welterweight title.
Skeete matched up against Dale Evans took the verdict with a unanimous points decision.
The defence was Skeete?s third successful defence and takes his professional record to 27-1 from 28 professional fights.
Evans was the mandatory challenger for the British title belt and came into the ring with the words Iron Mike, on his shorts, a wonderful tribute to the late Mike Towell who sadly died after the two met in the ring.
Desperate to win the British title in memory of Trowell, Evans couldn?t match the skills of Skeete and his record slips to 15-4 from 19 fights.
For Evans, it?ll be a long road back to being in title contention, however Skeete can look forward to bigger and better things in the near future.
The much-anticipated step-up will give us a chance to gauge just how far Skeete can go in the professional game.
