On what is already looking to be a cracking night of Boxing, Lee Selby will be making a defence of his IBF featherweight title on the same bill as James DeGale defends his IBF super-middleweight title.

The fight, at the Copper Box Arena, will see 30-year-old Selby start his preparations for a mandatory defence against Josh Warrington, a fight scheduled for some time in early 2018.

Selby has, in his previous two fights, stopped Andoni Gago and defeated Jonathan Victor Barres, an opponent he was scheduled to fight on the undercard of the Frampton v Santa Cruz re-match in Vegas, until Barres fell foul of the authorities in Nevada.

Returning to the aforementioned mandatory defence against Josh Warrington, Selby has started the verbal build-up by suggesting he?ll give the Leeds fighter an ?educated boxing lesson?.

Let?s hope there are no slip ups in his tile defence on 9 December against as, as yet, unnamed opponent.
