It has been announced that the Welsh boxer, Lee Selby, will be making a return to the ring to defend his IBF featherweight title.
The fight will be a mandatory defence for Selby with his opponent being the former world champion Jonathan Victor Barros.
Barros achieved mandatory status by taking a split decision, in Tokyo, against the Japanese fighter Satoshi Hosono.
Wales’ Lee Selby will defend his IBF featherweight title against former world champion Jonathan Victor Barros.
Selby will return to the ring after a spell of inactivity that stretches back to April when he made a successful defence of his title, at the O2 Arena in London, against the American boxer Eric Hunter.
Barros, three years older than Selby at 32-years-old, held the WBA version of the featherweight title back in 2010 and made two successful defences of the belt.
No date has been fixed for the fight but December is the most likely scenario.
