Although the festive season is upon us and there are no promotions scheduled for the foreseeable future, there are some boxers who will be sticking, religiously, to their training schedule.
One such fighter is the IBF world featherweight champion Lee Selby.
It has been confirmed that Selby will be defending his title against the IBF mandatory challenger Jonathan Barros.
Furthermore it has been confirmed that the fight will take place in the US, at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, on January 28th.
Selby, making the third defence of his crown, will be able to showcase his talents on the under-card of the re-match between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz where the WBA version of the featherweight crown will be up for grabs.
Delighted to be on the same bill, Selby has remarked,
‘I want the winner.?
I?m sure if Frampton and Selby prevail, that fight will come naturally as a big unification bout in the summer of 2017.
