With it being announced that Billy Joe Saunders will be boxing on the undercard of the Dereck Chisora EBU heavyweight title defence at the Copper Box Arena on November 30th, we still await news of his next opponent.

However, if Saunders had his way then it?d be he up and coming Chris Eubanks Junior who?d be sat on the other stool. In fact Saunders seems desperate to fight the unbeaten middleweight, remarking to the media,

‘Listen, if he wants to come and have it, I want him to drop everybody who’s in line because I’m probably due a voluntary now’

‘So I’ll have him next so if he wants it on November 30, I’ll give him five rounds head start and I’ll fight him.’

Bold talk and talk that would, no doubt have Chris Eubank Senior smiling broadly, but re the Eubank camp ready to put their man in with Saunders, the current British and Commonwealth champion, I think not, perhaps early next year though it is a fight both camps could set up.
